About Us
Most new parents are unaware of the wide variety of washable nappies now available. These modern real nappies are environmentally friendly, economical and easy to use. There is no need to fold nappies, soak or boil them, there is also no need for that nasty sharp safety pin!
Most real nappies are shaped like a disposable and fasten with Velcro or poppers. Flushable liners allow hygienic disposal of solids down the toilet. A laundry mesh allows easy transfer of nappies to the washing machine saving you having to handle them. Most nappies can be washed at 40 degrees.
As an independent organisation our advice is balanced and individually tailored
to suit your needs. All advice is free, and comes from 'real mums' with
'real experience' of using real nappies.
The charity aims to raise awareness of modern real nappies, offer advice
and support to parents.
Between us we have years of experience with washable nappies and can offer
a wide range of advice, from how to use and where to buy or launder washable
nappies in Fife.
We are currently funded by INCREASE III, Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) and are supported by Fife Council.
We want to help encourage individuals and families to do their bit for ‘healthier
happier babies, and the environment, we warmly invite you to join the ‘Real
Nappy Network in Fife and Enjoy a Greener Life!
If you are a health professional, play group leader or community group leader and would like to book a demonstration then please contact us. We will attend ante-natal classes or any kind of parent and baby group and can tailor the session to meet your needs.
