Prefolds
A prefold nappy is a flat nappy which has to be folded in to a pad shape and place it on a wrap. A close fitting wrap goes over the top to prevent babies clothes getting wet. Different sizes are needed as baby grows.
Advantages
- Separate components allows easy and fast drying
- Economical system
- Slim fitting
- Can be washed at very high temperatures
Disadvantages
- More prone to leaks with a pre-weaned baby
- Need more wraps as the wraps get soiled very easily
